In 1998, Section 508 (Sec. 508) of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 was amended, requiring Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology (EIT) accessible to people with disabilities—to provide “comparable access” to data and information for people with disabilities to those without disabilities. QFI is one of few Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) companies approved by the US General Services Administration to convert documents in compliance with Sections 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act. To learn more about Section 508, visit the official website of the United States Government at http://www.section508.gov/. Government buyers, give us a call or go to http://www.buyaccessible.gov/ to view QFI’s Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) products and services that conform to the accessibility standard, to determine if Section 508 requirements apply to your project, or to find accessibility information.
